Dear Reader
Antonym is away for a couple of weeks. Until then here are three delightful things…
1. A video of three song concert by an artist whose album rarely goes a week without getting played in our house.
2.A picture of a water-lily with a bee collecting pollen.
3.The fact that H P Lovecraft ghost-wrote a story for Harry Houdini:
In 1924 the pulp magazine Weird Tales published a story by Harry Houdini, called 'Imprisoned with the Pharaohs'. The story was actually written by H. P. Lovecraft,* who was paid $100 to write it. It was the 'true' account of Houdini's kidnap by a tour guide in Egypt, followed by being thrown into a hole near the Great Sphinx of Gaza, and, while attempting his escape, encountering the god that inspired the building of the Sphinx.
